Baby Baptism “Bautizo”
The celebratory event for Massimiliano’s baptism and second birthday was a labor of love for all.

The family came to me a week before the celebration, as one of the milestones in their young son’s life was coming near. I quickly set up a consultation with the family, not realizing this was going to much more than a beautiful family event. Over the days, we met often to come together to create not only a beautiful day, but one with underlying symbolisms back to the intention of baptism. The symbols of the cross were found in the beautifully crafted cake, the crisp white garment in their son’s attire, oil & water slowly poured over him in an intimate Catholic mass and the natural light radiating through the barn windows.

The event was about to start. The tabletops were elegantly set, the aroma of the food was lingering, the delicately arranged flowers were perfectly placed, the messaging was thoughtfully laid at each place setting, and at that moment, I realized something. I was not only there to bring together a beautiful event but anchor it with touches of intention. Just as a baptism, within their Catholic faith, welcomes you, I was there to welcome their guests into a memorable event.
This event was a reminder to myself, that the true purpose of my passion to be an event planner is to find, the intentionality, the symbols, the meanings, the reasons for why we find events important to us. To create a lasting memory in someone’s life, through my labor of love.
