|1|Plated Dining: A plated meal offers a more formal dining experience for your guests. When you are hosting a brunch or lunch I would recommend you do a pre-set starter like a salad, soup or small bite size appetizer. Then serve the main/entree course to everyone. When hosting a dinner you can choose to do the same service style or you can serve the starter to be more formal. In both situations it is nice to serve the dessert since it will usually be temperature specific and is a nice touch for dining!
|2|Family Style Dining: The new trend over the past few years has been allowing guests to dine family style. It is a more formal service than buffet but not as formal as a plated. The experience of having this dining experience allows for conversation and interaction among your guests! I love serving food in a variety of platters and bowls with multiple starter, sides and entree selections.
|3|Buffet Dining:
A buffet service offers a casual dining experience for your guests. It is great to offer a buffet as guests can pace themselves, go back throughout the meal and have a variety of selections. It is always good to start with your rolls, then salad & dressings cold starters, cold & hot entrees, hot side dishes finishing with sauces & condiments then of course…dessert!
|4|Food Trucks: For a cheeky, fun and vibrant dining experience book a food truck! You can decide if you want to host or have guests pay their own way. Usually there is a $100-$150 fee for service and typical to give a gratuity at the end of the event. When you book a food truck it is great to ask if you can do a smaller custom menu or if they will offer their full menu. I have a food truck for my birthday every year and my guest love it!
A few great local food trucks: Maize, Smith’s Burger Co, Burrito King, Piato!
Enjoy the spring season and sharing the time off!!- xo Amanda
