Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the endless amount of wedding reels📲? Piles of wedding magazines 📚? Endless visuals on wedding sites 💻?
Well, here is the story of how a 28- year old, eager 🍽 catering sales manager & lover of 🥂 weddings, came up with a product for YOU! (An ironically, I wasn’t even planning my own wedding... you’ll learn that would come almost a decade later!)
I started my introduction into the events world as a graveyard front desk agent at the iconic, Hotel del Coronado. To stay awake at night I bought 📚 wedding magazines, ate 🍪 chocolate chip cookies and did some 👻 ghost hunting with the staff. At that time, I just loved wedding magazines. The excitement of turning the pages to see what inspirational photos I would find, what advice I could learn and the trends for the year. As I explored page by page, I noticed how all the information was jumbled together...don’t get me wrong it was helpful but confusing. ➡ Over the years, as I continued my career, assisting at 🏖️ beachfront & 🏨 luxury weddings, becoming a 📋 restaurant manager and 🎉 assistant director of special event...I had an intuition THERE WAS A BETTER WAY TO CREATE CONTENT FOR COUPLES. Hence, what I like to call discovering “The Wedding Gap."
Taking it to present time ➡ I have officially become one of you! I got engaged, picked a date, selected a venue, created our guest list and then... the daunting experience of planning a wedding begins. (Sorry, I do have a bit of experience, therefore I'm not too overwhelmed)...But still ANXIETY has kicked in! Just like you, I bought magazines, started a Pinterest board, read books, scrolled wedding reels, and saved TikToks which of course just leads to an inundation of information, expectations, timelines and world that feels foreign to you.
SO LETS STOP! TAKE A STEP BACK!
